Grüner Veltliner
Josef and Eva Maria Bauer run a family winery that's been around since 1796. They're in Wagram, a live surrounded by wildflowers, random grasses, a whole living landscape of beautiful biodiversity. The vines are probably very happy about it.
This one is made with vines up to 40 years old. Whole cluster fermented in stainless steel with native yeast for two weeks. Then it just hangs out on its lees until the end of November, plus three more months because why rush. Fresh, friendly, necessary. One whole litre. Screwcap. Made for sharing, but also fine if you don't. It tastes like white peaches, zingy acidity, and a little pop of white pepper that remind you why Grüner is so great.
Drink it with everything. Or nothing. Just drink it. It's fine. It's all fine.
