Yes, we’ve heard that one before. See below!

Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns of unopened or flawed wines with receipt of purchase. Opened bottles can only be returned if they’re faulty – if your wine is corked or flawed, bring it back (with at least 4/5 of the wine still in the bottle and the original cork) for a replacement or credit.
Not loving the taste? We’ll help you find something you’ll adore, but we can’t offer refunds based on preference.
Online Orders
Need to adjust your order? Contact us right away. If your wine hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll process a refund minus a 5% handling fee (doesn’t apply to in-store pickups). If it’s already on its way, you can return unopened bottles to us within 30 days for a refund (minus a $25 restocking fee and original delivery charges) or bring them to the shop for an exchange.
Payment & Receipts
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Cash payments are not available.
To reduce waste and simplify record-keeping, we provide digital receipts only. At checkout, please share your email or phone number to automatically receive your itemized purchase confirmation. This convenient system helps you track your favourite wines while supporting our sustainability efforts.
Pick-Up Orders
Your order will be ready within one business day—often even sooner. You’ll receive an email confirmation as soon as it’s prepared.
Need it urgently? If you haven’t received a confirmation, email us at canarycounter@gmail.com, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your timeline.
Why is there candy with my wine purchase?
Due to AGCO regulations, all alcohol purchases for take-away must include a food item. To comply with this requirement while keeping things simple, we include a small candy with each purchase for a nominal $0.15 charge.
We appreciate your understanding of these legal requirements.
Will I find these at the LCBO?
Not a chance. Every bottle on our shelves comes from small, passionate producers who'll never make it to LCBO stores. These are the hidden gems—wines made by hand, not by committee.
Think of us as your backstage pass to the wine world's best-kept secrets.
Tastings & Events
Wine should be fun, not formal—that’s the spirit behind everything we pour.
Our tasting bar welcomes drop-ins whenever we’re open. Explore a rotating selection of by-the-glass pours or try a flight—no reservation needed, just bring your curiosity (and maybe a friend).
For Groups
Book a private tasting and let us guide your crew through a handpicked lineup of our favourite bottles. No stuffy lectures, just great wine and the stories behind it. Email canarycounter@gmail.com to arrange your session.
