Selection Massale Central Otago Pinot Noir 2024

We rarely stock wines from New Zealand or Australia. Not because we don't like them. Just because we're not that exposed to them. Maybe. However, when we came across this Pinot Noir, we fell in love with the dichotomy. Earthy, leathery, rustic. But still super light and fresh. Pretty plush, bright, with all that blackberry, Morello cherry, and cacao. Feels like the red we want to cozy up to in this fall season.

The fruit (which is organic certified!) was hand harvested, with a small portion of whole bunches, wild-fermented in stainless steel, gently macerated for four weeks, then pressed into aged French oak barriques. Full malolactic fermentation, aging on lees for 16 months, bottled unfiltered and unfined.
