Punset Langhe Arneis 2023

Marina Marcarino has been farming organically in the Langhe since she took over her family's estate in 1982. While everyone else stuck to tradition, she decided to innovate, and this Arneis is exactly why that was a genius move.

This wine is just so alive. All electric energy and stony minerality. She gives half the grapes a few days of skin contact, which gives it this great texture and the backbone to age beautifully. It ferments slowly in steel, and she stirs the lees for a full six months, making it pure and golden.

It smells like a handful of summer flowers and ripe fruit, with this intense honey thing happening. But the real magic is how it drinks: full-bodied and persistent, with a bright, electric acidity that makes the whole bottle disappear.

Basically, it’s the only white you’ll want with a rich seafood pasta or a bowl of steamed clams (and tons of parsley and garlic).
