Garnacha Blanca
The Puiggrós family made wine in Odena for 165 years, but until 2008, they kept it mostly to themselves. It was their personal tradition, their private stash. Eventually, they realized their old-school techniques and special terroir were too good not to share.
Exedra Blanc is the heart of that decision. Sourced from a high-altitude vineyard of Garnatxa Blanca planted on limestone and clay at 500 meters, with Montserrat looming on the horizon, this wine is a pure expression of place. It’s hand-harvested and undergoes a natural fermentation and ageing in 800-litre clay amphorae, a method that coaxes out texture without overshadowing the Garnacha's vibrant soul.
The result is a wine that is both primal and polished. It bursts from the glass with fleshy peach, pineapple, and lemon zest, woven through with the scent of jasmine, wild herbs, and beeswax. The palate is broad and textured, yet lifted by a line of electric freshness that carries the flavours to a soft, persistent finish.
Grab a bottle for grilled shrimp with garlic butter, or just because it’s Tuesday and the sun is out.
