The name "Franc" isn't just about the Cabernet Franc in the blend, it's a promise. It's the Pardas team's commitment to making a wine that speaks with honesty and respect for their soils. Their goal? To catch the genie of the vineyard and put it in a bottle.
This is a serious, perfumed red. 2018's blend was made of 53% Cabernet Franc, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 16% Sumoll, it’s aged for 11 months in French oak.
The nose is intensely aromatic. A walk through a late-summer garden at dusk: the dusty scent of a sun-warmed stone wall, wild plum skins, and the waxy snap of a coloUred pencil. The palate is all macerated black fruits, a texture of crushed velvet, and tannins that feel like ancient parchment, leading to a finish of profound, stony silence.
