While the world knows the Gramona family for their legendary sparkling wines, cousins Roc and Leo Gramona (the sixth generation) are quietly rewriting the rules for still wine in Penedès. They launched L'Enclòs de Peralba in 2017—their own playground for purity, farming five-plus hectares organically and sourcing from like-minded growers to craft wines that speak of place.
This white is their manifesto in a bottle. A brilliant blend of voluptuous Xarel·lo and zingy Malvasia de Sitges, fermented in stainless steel and aged for seven months in concrete eggs and neutral oak. It’s a masterclass in tension. The Xarel·lo brings white peach and beeswax; the Malvasia delivers a crack of electric acidity and stony minerality that keeps everything bright, focused, and utterly refreshing.
This would go so well with grilled sea bass with fennel, a sprawling seafood platter, or simply a warm afternoon that calls for something crisp and compelling.
