Last House 'Joie de Vivre' Blanc de Blanc 2022
Prince Edward County, Canada
Chardonnay
Last House's traditional method sparkling wine made entirely from Chardonnay grown on the estate. It spent 42 months on its lees, which happens to be the right amount of time to make something extremely delicious. Hand-riddled and hand-disgorged, because every single thing is made by hand at Last House.
Super elegant bubbles. The nose is fresh brioche, lemon zest, green apple, and pear. On the palate, bright tangerine and orchard fruit. The extended lees ageing make it extremely creamy. A regular this week described it as cream soda and I simply loved that note. However! it stays focused and energetic. Dry and refreshing!
Drink it when you need A GLASS. A good glass. When you're craving something refreshing, at the end of a long day. It will make you sigh after the first sip.
