Heinrich Naked White

Gernot and Heike Heinrich started with a single hectare of vines in 1990 in Gols, on the northeast side of the Neusiedlersee lake. They were true pioneers in Burgenland, transitioning to biodynamic farming in 2006 (now certified by Demeter, Pannobile, Respekt!).

You know the drill with "everyday" white wine. It's usually just a placeholder, something wet and vaguely pleasant. This is not that. This is the bottle you actually look forward to cracking open on a random Tuesday. This blend of Chardonnay and Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc!) gets a quick 24-hour soak on its skins, which is just enough to give it a creamy, substantial feel. 

It tastes like a baked apple with a squeeze of lemon zest, a pinch of garden herbs, and this weirdly compelling whisper of spicy gingerbread. It’s straightforward, but it’s not simple.
