The amount of you who walk into the shop asking for a chill, lighter red has increased so, so much. And let me tell you: we love this for you. We love your taste. We would also always be drinking light, chillable reds. One of our favourites is Blaufränkisch because it can be sipped on its own or go with fattier fish or white meat or dark meat or a stew, because girl, it's going to get frigging cold outside. Buckle up and drink Blaufränkisch.

This one comes from Heinrich, a traditionalist and a harmonious link between two worlds. The east and west sides of Lake Neusiedl. This autochthonous parade grape feels equally at home on the lime and schist soils of the Leithagebirge and the sandy loam slopes of the Parndorfer Platte. Blueberry, blackberry, smoke, white pepper. A mysterious, almost brooding impression. Give it some air and it opens up into something silky and elegant with a core of freshness. The finish turns away from darker fruit and ends on ripe red cherry.  So yes, chill it. Yes, drink it now. Yes, also buy a second bottle and forget about it for a year. Both things can be true.
