Domaine de Corbière Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2025

In 1923, Fabel Barbou bought the Domaine des Corbillières and planted a single vine of Sauvignon Blanc along a wall. A century later, his descendants have grown the estate to 26 hectares, converted all the vineyards to organic, farming thoughtfully and making Sauvignon Blanc that doesn't fall into the trap of being too exuberant or too grassy or too anything.

For this wine, the vines are between 15 and 45 years old, planted on sandy clay soils. Native yeast fermentations at controlled temperatures. Aging on fine lees until spring. It's balanced. It's fresh. It's exactly what you want from a Loire white. Zesty, citrusy, with crunchy green apple and grapefruit on the lush palate, and a crisp, clean finish. Kind of feels like Sancerre but way more affordable which is great!? Drink it with shrimp scampi, with oysters, with goat cheese or honestly any cheese.
