Château Haut Grelot Bordeaux Rouge
Bordeaux, France
Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
Let’s be honest: most affordable Bordeaux is a snooze. It’s the wine you buy when you’ve given up. But then you find a bottle like this, from a family that’s been at it since 1920, and you remember what the whole fuss was about.
This is the Bordeaux we’ve been waiting for! No stuffy pretense, just a ridiculously drinkable red. It’s a 50/50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Côtes de Bordeaux, aged in steel to keep it fresh and fruity. The result is all bright red berries and a lovely, supple texture. It’s the kind of bottle you open with weeknight roast chicken, a plate of charcuterie, or a burger off the grill.
Consider this your official notice: Bordeaux is back! And it’s actually fun this time.
