La Pinada Utiel-Requena

Some wines are made to impress. Others are made to disappear—from the glass, from the table, from the bottle in one sitting because you simply can’t stop drinking them. La Pinada is the latter.

Founded in 2017 by two friends, Javier del Blanco and Jorge Navascues—who’ve worked with Spain’s top estates—Agrícola de Vinos La Higuera is a project built on a simple idea: honest wines that honor where they come from.

La Pinada is their tribute to purity. Made from 100% Bobal from a single parcel planted in 1958 on alluvial and clay soils, this is what the French would call a “vin de soif”—a wine of thirst. One measured not by pretense, but by joy, refreshment, and the kind of authenticity that feels rare these days.

The nose is an easygoing burst of blackberry, dark cherry, and spring blossom, dusted with just a hint of earthy minerality. The palate is juicy, focused, and perfectly balanced—crunchy acidity meets light, drying tannins in a dance that’s so vibrant.
