La Pinada Utiel-Requena 2022

Founded in 2017 by two friends, Javier del Blanco and Jorge Navascués, who’ve worked with Spain’s top wineries. La Pinada is their tribute to purity. Made from 100% Bobal from a single parcel planted in 1958 on alluvial and clay soils, this is what the French would call a “vin de soif”, a wine of thirst. 

The nose is an easygoing burst of blackberry, dark cherry, and spring blossom, dusted with just a hint of earthy minerality. The palate is juicy, focused, and perfectly balanced: crunchy acidity meets light, drying tannins in a dance that’s so vibrant.

Pair with weeknight pizza, grilled lamb burgers, or a platter of jamón and marcona almonds in front of your favourite board game.
