Le Vent dans les Voiles Rosé 2025
Côtes de Provence, France
Cinsault and Grenache
Le Vent dans les Voiles means "the wind in the sails." And honestly, I can't think of a better way to describe this rosé.
It comes from the outskirts of Cotignac, a sleepy little town in Provence where the vines are old and the pace is slow. Cinsault (80%!) and Grenache. The wine is pale, almost shy in the glass, in its truest provençal style. But there's depth, white peach, wild strawberries, a burst of citrus. Crushed seashells-like minerality.
Thirst-quenching, yes, but it also has enough texture and character to stand up to food. So if you want to drink it with a plate of olives and some grilled fish, go ahead.
