Château de Montfaucon Lirac Blanc 'Comtesse Madeleine' 2023

We think Lirac could be considered one of Rhône’s best kept secrets. It's right across the river from the infamous Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and it's a place of low, sun-baked hills and ancient river stones, where wines have a creamy, generous weight all their own. Rodolphe de Pins, after cutting his teeth at places like Vieux Télégraphe, runs his family’s estate here from an 11th-century castle. This white is a lush, textured blend of Marsanne, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, and Picpoul. It’s hand-harvested, aged eight months in oak, and tastes like honeyed tangerine, ripe melon, and a sharp streak of lime zest, that keeps everything bright.
