You know Corpinnat? It's like the grower Champagne of Penedès, an appellation that exists to separate Penedés' best sparkling wines from the sea of Cava. Recaredo is one of the iconic producers in that world, and this is their still wine project, Celler Credo.

"And The Winner Is..." comes from the first press of their best grapes, coming exclusively from the top lots. The rest gets sent to distilleries, which is exactly the kind of picky, obsessive move you'd expect from people who spend their lives making serious bubbly. It's Xarel·lo, Macabeu, Parellada, Garnatxa Negra and Malvasia de Sitges, the holy grail of Penedés and their cousins.

Easygoing but not boring. Fresh, textural, full of white and yellow tree fruits, with a little extra oomph from that first-press intensity. Have a little fun pairing this wine!
