It used to be one of the most planted white grapes in Piedmont in the 19th century, alongside Cortese. Then phylloxera hit. When the vineyards were replanted, most growers chose something else. Timorasso was difficult, ripened unevenly, easily attacked by disease. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"\"\u003eTimorasso is a wonderful combination of stringent acidity and depth. The acidity is high, bright, refreshing, sometimes compared to Chenin Blanc or Riesling. But it also has this mouth-filling character that can fool you into thinking it's seen skin contact or barrel aging. The body comes from the grape itself.
