Only bush-trained vines planted on Call Vermell soils, reddish clay rich in beneficial microorganisms, with high water retention (something very important when you're a sun-baked island in the middle of the Mediterranean!)\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"\"\u003eThe parcels read like a who's who of old-vine Mantonegro: Sa Bassa Blanca with 47-year-old vines, Sa Figuereta at 39 years, Plà de Buc with four parcels ranging from 35 to 61 years, Vinyes den Miquel with vines at 42 and, wait for it, 445 years old (yes, you read that right), and Son Seguí with over 71-year-old vines. The wine ferments and ages in a mix of stainless steel and neutral foudres and barrels. There isn't much wood imprint, it's basically a very well-made big red wine that speaks of its place: dark, serious, sun-baked red berry fruit, concentrated but not jammy, earthy undertones, a dry jerk beef thing going on.
